“My bills have dropped by 90 percent. With the iBoost diverting excess energy to my hot water cylinder, and saving on gas too.”
“From the initial contact, survey, install and commissioning, the communication was excellent.”
“When installers arrived they advised me straight away… everything was fixed on the spot and the price adjusted.”
“The system works perfectly, the installation is neat, the communication and advice before, during and after has been outstanding.”
“Really happy with our new solar panels. Installation was quick and easy. Definitely recommend!”
Ballasted flat-roof array, string inverters and full commissioning tests.
A ballasted flat roof and a metal roof — two different builds on one school.
Rooftop PV installation, then phased panel removal for structural works.
Victron inverters, battery bank and an essential board — the lights stay on in a power cut.
All-black panels, hybrid inverter and battery, labelled and neatly fitted outside under a canopy.
New inverter location, new roof cable tray and monitoring back online.
We check the roof, supply and consumer unit on site.
Panel layout, expected generation and a fixed price.
Our own team fits panels, inverter and any battery — usually 1–2 days for homes.
Tested, MCS certified, DNO notified and set up in the monitoring app.
No — a standard solar system does not work in a power cut. When the grid goes off, it switches itself off too. This is a safety rule, so nobody gets a shock working on the power lines. If you want power during a cut, we add a battery and a small smart switch-over unit. When the grid fails, it disconnects your home from the grid and keeps your lights, fridge, heating and sockets running — automatically, in seconds. When the grid comes back, it switches back by itself.
Yes. You need solar panels, a battery and an off-grid inverter, all sized to how much electricity you use. In UK winters the sun alone may not be enough, so we usually keep the grid (or a generator) as a backup.
We agree an installation date with you after the survey and your go-ahead. On site, our own team fits panels, inverter and any battery — usually in 1–2 days for homes.
Almost nothing. We test the system, notify the DNO and register it with MCS and building control within 14 days. Within 7 days you get your handover pack, and we set up the monitoring app with you. All you do is contact your electricity supplier with your MCS certificate and switch on a Smart Export Guarantee (export) tariff.
We handle it. Most home systems only need a notification after installation. Larger systems or big batteries need approval first — we apply for you.
To get paid for export, most suppliers need a smart meter that records the electricity you export. Your supplier can fit one.
Yes, just less. Panels work on daylight, not heat. Most of the year’s power comes from spring to autumn — a battery helps you use more of it.
Only for a short time while we connect the inverter and any battery. We tell you before we switch off.
Our own 2-year written workmanship warranty, which transfers with the property. On top of that you get the manufacturers’ warranties, which are usually: solar panels — 12 to 25 years on the product and 25 to 30 years on performance (about 80–90% of the original output); inverters — 5 to 12 years, often extendable; batteries — usually 10 years. The exact terms for your products are in your quotation and our domestic terms.
Very little. Rain keeps them mostly clean, and the monitoring app shows straight away if output drops.
Yes — both can be added later. We size the system so it is easy to extend.
Most home roof systems are permitted development. Listed buildings, conservation areas and ground-mounted arrays may need permission — we check this at survey.
Our domestic contracts cap the deposit at 25% of the price, with a 14-day cooling-off period. See our domestic terms.
Yes — with an MCS certificate you can apply for a Smart Export Guarantee tariff from your energy supplier.
Yes. If you already have a hybrid inverter, we can usually just add the battery. If you have a standard inverter, we replace it with a hybrid inverter at the same time as fitting the battery. We check which one you have at the survey.
We design battery systems that keep your home running in a power cut. An essential (backup) board feeds the things that matter — lights, fridge, heating, internet and sockets — and the system switches over by itself.
Every certificate can be checked on the NICEIC, MCS, TrustMark and Constructionline registers.
