Boiler Upgrade Scheme
Homes and business buildings in England and Wales can get a government grant to replace an oil, gas, LPG or electric heating system with a heat pump. The installer applies to Ofgem on your behalf.
One grant per property. Hybrid systems (heat pump plus gas boiler) are not eligible. Amounts from GOV.UK, updated 1 October 2026 — they can change.

Will a heat pump work in winter?+
Yes. Air source heat pumps work in cold weather when they are sized and set up correctly.
Do I need new radiators?+
Sometimes. The heat loss survey shows which rooms, if any, need larger radiators.
Can it run with my solar panels?+
Yes — a heat pump pairs well with solar PV and a battery. Lipame Solar can design both together.
