Summary of our Contract of Sale for homeowners · Version October 2026

Who these terms are for

These terms summarise the key points of our Contract of Sale for homeowners buying solar PV, battery storage or EV charging from Lipame Solar (a trading name of Lipame Ltd). Your signed Contract of Sale, issued with your quotation, is the binding document.

Your quotation

  • Quotations are valid for 30 days.
  • Your quotation includes the system design, the estimated performance and the full price including VAT.
  • If the design or price changes after survey, you may cancel without penalty.

Deposits & payments

  • Any deposit is no more than 25% of the contract price.
  • Deposits and advance payments together are no more than 60% of the contract price, and advance payments are taken no earlier than 3 weeks before installation.
  • Your deposit is protected by insurance.
  • The balance is due on completion. Late payments may be charged at 3% above the Bank of England base rate.

Your right to cancel

You have 14 days to cancel your contract without giving any reason. The cancellation period ends 14 days after the day on which the last goods are delivered to you. You may also cancel without penalty before delivery, if there is an unreasonable delay, or if the agreed design or price changes.

We refund payments within 14 days of receiving your cancellation. If you ask us to start work within the cancellation period, you may have to pay for the work carried out up to the point you cancel.

To cancel, contact us at [email protected] or use the cancellation form provided with your contract.

Installation & handover

  • Your system is installed by our own MCS-certified team and notified to the network operator (DNO).
  • Within 7 days of completion we provide your handover pack and remove our waste.
  • Within 14 days of completion we provide your MCS certificate and building control notification.
  • Your MCS certificate lets you apply for a Smart Export Guarantee tariff.

Guarantees

  • A 24-month (2-year) written workmanship warranty from the date of commissioning, which transfers with the property and is protected by insurance.
  • Manufacturer product guarantees on panels, inverters and batteries, as stated in your quotation.

Consumer code & complaints

Lipame Ltd is currently a member of the Renewable Energy Consumer Code (RECC), membership no. 00074683, and follows the Code and its Bye-Laws.

Moving to the new MCS scheme. MCS is replacing consumer code membership with its redeveloped Installer Scheme, which every MCS-certified installer must join by 31 March 2027. Under the new scheme MCS handles complaints directly, provides free independent alternative dispute resolution, and every domestic installation is covered by an MCS-approved financial protection product. We are making this move and will update this page on the date we transfer.

We aim to resolve any concern quickly — please contact us first. If we cannot agree, until we transfer you may refer your complaint to RECC’s independent alternative dispute resolution scheme; after we transfer, complaints go to MCS.
