Two phases on one of the UK’s leading science parks: a rooftop PV installation on new buildings, then a precise, phased removal so structural works could proceed without losing a single reusable panel.
A busy MACE-managed site with strict inductions, limited lifting windows and roofs shared with other trades. Panels had to be handled so they could be reused.
A small, consistent crew with a named supervisor; every panel photographed and logged in the client’s app before removal; bespoke pallets, corner protection and wrapping for transport.
Arrays installed to the layout drawings, then removed building by building on programme, with panels palletised for storage and reuse and redundant cable cleared to site skips.
Real clips from site: the finished array from the roof, materials arriving by lorry, and fixing the clamps to the rails.
Frames set out on the roof, materials lifted up by crane, panels fixed row by row — then the same care again when they came down.
Mounting systems set out from the layout drawings, then panels installed and wired across the new buildings’ roofs.

Panels removed from pods and cassettes on Buildings 1 and 3, protected and palletised for reuse while MACE lifted the structures.
